Dr. Shanlyn HEFLEY-CooperShanlyn is from Wellington and is the daughter of Dr. Dan Hefley. Following in her fathers footsteps she progressed to be a veterinarian and help run the family clinic.
Shanlyn is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a degree in Agricultural Economics in 2016. She then transferred to Kansas State University School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2020. She has worked at the clinic her entire life and plans to stay here with her husband, Zach and their daughter, Sloane Rose. They both enjoy spending time with their four legged family members Fury and Luna (Rhodesian Ridgebacks), Dixie (Border Collie) and Maizey and Faith (Quarter Horses). |

Dr. Libby FarneyDr. Farney graduated from Kansas State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2020, and has been at Arrowhead since 2022. She currently resides in Southwest Kansas with her fiance, Sean and his daughter, Laynee. Dr. Farney travels to many clinics in rural Kansas, and is with us Thursdays-Fridays every other week. She has a passion for veterinary medicine in animals of all sizes, and brings expertise for our equine and other large animal patients. She has a herd of animals of her own, including several horses, dogs, cats and goats. In her free time, Dr. Farney enjoys being with family, gardening and riding horses.

In Remembrance of Dr. Dan Hefley
Dr. Hefley was a graduate of Oklahoma State University, College of Veterinary Medicine and practiced in Wellington, KS for 30 years. Doc’s wife, Kim, is a local elementary school counselor and our clinic office manager, and they are blessed with three children.
Dr. Dan and Kim have a Yorkie (Boone), and a Belgian Malinois, (Reya).
- Kerby, an Oklahoma State graduate lives and works in St Louis, MO. He and his lovely wife Kristen are employed as engineers. They enjoy lots of exercise and travel with our Grand Dogs, Gabby and Gus.
- Troyce, a Wichita State University graduate is working in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for Georgia Pacific as a Brand Manager. He and his wife Annie have a Doberman named Rory and a Border Collie names Teddy that they love to snuggle.
